CLASS POEM I
Although what we've sometimes had here has been
a communication gap i^^k
ike age.
ccfl rause of our own opinionated divisions —
Perhaps today we can realize
that is not what we are here for.
khough we seem occasionally overwhelmed
by our own materialistic judgments.
Perhaps today we can realize
that we have a lot more than
" yesterday's notes to lend each other.
Although it seems we should be
growing and expanding
on whatever we have to feed each other,
our imagination! appear
f rozen,' in stead mi flowing
concentratingyprimarily on our differ
seemsw^'e
done'tnat far too long —
Perhaps now we might be able to achiev
a feeling described as \
"a oneness that is so strong
that when one cries,
the other tastes salt."
And although we'd all love to
change the world at once,
Perhaps we can start with the
patience and understanding
it takes to realize
that the differences we see
in each other
were probably once our own traits
and tomorrow .
tomorrow we'll see more
of them
that still stifle our
own souls today.

Class Will
We, the members of the class of 1975, the largest class ever to graduate from Waltham High School and the class of the first year
of the Bicentennial Celebration, do hereby devise and bequeath to our illustrious faculty and staff these cherished and memorable
gifts:
To Mr. George E. P. Husson, Jr., our WHS principal, we present a machine to capture and enmesh the culprits of the fire alarm
capers.
To Mr. Viscarello, Vocational School director, our gift is a dozen male nurses to further popularize the nursing program.
For Mr. Levey we provide a course in radio broadcasting to prevent the loss of tone noted in recent PA performances at the close of
school.
To Senior Housemaster Tom Neylon we give a machine that simultaneously checks blue slips, adds up demerits, and removes from
the premises the accused offender.
To Mr. Foley, new functions so he won't go of f on a tangent.
To Mrs. Caloggero a double gift: a miniature greenhouse for her plants and a TV monitor for checking the girls' rooms.
For Mrs. Baker — 10 laps.
To Mr. Woronicz — towel money.
To Mr. Tulanian, a ten years' supply of wood.
And to Mr. Ferrante, a series of first prize awards for the Stage Band.
Front row tickets to "Zorba the Greek" have been reserved for our elite WHS theater group: Miss Geary, Mr. Travalini, Ms.
Devane, Ms. Tahaney, and DOC.
Our guarantee to Miss Elizabeth Collins is the success of her autobiography, THE RETURN OF THE NATIVE.
To honor Mrs. Gracef f a, her classes wish to rename fruit flies Gracophila.
On the horizon for Mr. Eagle we see another Senior Revue like ours.
For Mr. Grant a xeroxed set of directions to the Planetarium.
To aid Miss Nolan, a college suitable for everyone who consults Guidance.
« ,
162
For Mr. Walker a banner proclaiming his favorite saying: "You'll like it." and for Mr. Nelson, paternity leave for Baby Dawn
Nelson.
Our class takes note of the Bicentennial by leaving Mr. Steinberg a Liberty Bell and by ordering for Mr. Mrugala costumes and
horses for future Paul Revere rides.
Thanks to Mr. Lando, our best employment agent.
We are recruiting a troop of Cub Scouts to teach Ms. Irwin some basic knots.
As a teaching aid for Mr. Macy we have designed an interlocking circle seating arrangement.
For Mr. Gannon — an ice cube to keep him cool.
A guest appearance on Crocket's Garden Show, Channel 2, is a suggestion for Mr. Capucci, whose gardening skill is the envy of his
colleagues.
To Miss Misseri we will deliver self-cleaning typewriters.
For Mr. Damien, a big vote of thanks from the Vocational '75 class for helping us to cope with the real world.
For Miss Magrath we would supply a brigade of sewing machines which would operate at her command.
To make it easier for her students to play Scrabble, we are setting up card tables in Ms. Fryer's room.
As a sponsor of candidates to Harvard, Yale, MIT, the Ivy League colleges, we recognize Mr. Vallely.
What more appropriate for Mr. Rose than 40 loves with Billy Jean King?
The Most Absent Minded Professor is our label for Mr. Pizzi.
We wish for Mr. Thorp, student council advisor, a faultless election.
And for Mr. and Mrs. Mathews an assignment for a class in team teaching.
All these gifts and more we wish for our faculty and the two classes we leave as we graduate on June 3 from WHS. We salute the
half-century Class of 1950 whose members are so well known in the Waltham School Administration and Faculty here at WHS.
We, who complete the third quarter of the 20th century, ask Mr. Meader, Mrs. McKnight, Mrs. Shirley, and Mr. Richman to
witness this, our solemn document, on June 2, at the Verner Robinson Auditorium, Waltham High School, City of Waltham,
County Middlesex, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Signed all sixty members of the Class Day Committee

CLASS OF 1975
Sincere congratulations,
Class of 75 ;
You have a wonderful heritage,
To work for and to strive.
It's the year of the Bicentennial,
Your graduation year;
With a legacy of freedom,
For you and all your peers.
You have an obligation,
It's really up to you;
To add prestige to our country,
In all that you may do.
As you build your future for yourself,
Help keep our country strong;
With goals like these before you,
You really can't go wrong.
Believe in yourself and this land you love,
As your forefathers did before;
Be proud of your home and country,
No one could ask for more.
You've been prepared for the future,
Throughout the long school years;
You stand today, as young adults,
As graduation nears.
Accept the challenge handed down,
200 years ago;
We need a free America,
Please help to keep it so.
And now to you, Class of '75,
Go wishes warm and sincere;
For a wonderful graduation day,
In this Bicentennial year.

they don't see just where we're goin',
And all the secrets in the universe,
whisper in our ears and all the
years will come and go and take
us up, always up.
We may never pass this way again,
we may never pass this way again.
